Kyle Longhorns

Not far south of Austin is a city bursting at its seams with population growth rivaling many of the surrounding cities: Kyle, Texas. Neighboring cities, Kyle and Buda, are considered sibling cities not to be left out of the longhorn sighting conversion.

It’s been said that Buda has a few unconfirmed longhorn sightings not far from downtown near Stagecoach Park (880 Main Street, Buda, Texas 78610).

Mention longhorns in Kyle and locals will assume you’re referring to Longhorn Steakhouse or Longhorn Daiquiris.  There are many private ranches, but most only have one to two longhorns that aren’t publicly accessible.

Where to see longhorn cattle in Kyle, Texas

Nevertheless, whether traveling north or sound bound through the Austin area, keep an eye out for a bizarre longhorn sighting at an auto dealership.  Take exit 210 heading northbound or southbound towards San Antonio, and be on the lookout for Yarrington Rd exit.

If heading southbound, you’ll cross over the Yarrington Road bridge going east, and head back northbound on the frontage road.  If traveling northbound, then simply continue on the frontage road through/past Yarrington Road.

You’ll discover our fine-horned friends and have found a home out front selling cars at the Roger Beasley Hyundai dealership in Kyle, Texas.

Oh and one more thing… there is one major detail to mention about this longhorn sighting: all eight are longhorn statues. Yeap, FAKE NEWS longhorns they are!

Knew something seemed a bit off.  No cattle guard nor any sign of an electric fence or fencing of any sort.  Plus, the cars aren’t too far from being horned down the side.

There’s always good and bad news for every story. In this case, the bad news is this is not a living longhorn sighting. The good news is that small children (and some adults too!) will be amazed from a distance.

In closing, if a living longhorn sighting is nowhere to be found, then at least you know once location that won’t let you down!
